“Named in high regard for her beloved family roots, founder of TAYLOR + tess, Tess Taylor brings to life a CBD skincare for “Women, Men, Neither and Both.” She’s a true entrepreneur at the core, and this woman’s mission to promote diversity and inclusion while breaking social barriers are just two of the many reasons why we love Tess. Her organic, plant-based ‘menage a trois for the face’ promises to nourish your skin with a regimen that seamlessly fits into busy schedules. TAYLOR + tess’s three-piece facial set is comprised of the ‘in the Buff’ cleansing bar & industrial hemp sponge, ‘the Quickie’ refreshing spray of nutrients for the face, and ‘the Nightcap’ cream to rest and replenish.” - Volume III, Social Justice Issue
“TAYLOR + tess’ skin-care products also feature CBD along with an impressive supporting cast of active ingredients, in this case the antioxidants in vitamins C and E, as well as blueberry, raspberry and cranberry extracts. For older skin, vitamin C is supposed to increase the production of collagen, which slows with age, and rosehip seed oil, touted as “nature’s retinol” may smooth fine lines. The Nightcap is a “feel-good” product – not only because it feels and smells so pleasant, but because of a lineup of natural ingredients that are above reproach, and packaging that is entirely sustainable.” - Abbie Rosner
“I am obsessed with Taylor+Tess CBD facial products. They have a facial cleansing bar that cleans my face better than any other cleanser I have tried. At first I didn't like the idea of using a bar, but it works so well, it's the only thing I use now. They have a face cream and toning spray that is really nice and relaxing as well." - Krista Torres
we were honored to be a part of mary jane’s holiday gift guide for cheddar cannabiz in 2019. check out the full-length video here; our segment starts at the 16-minute mark!
Being in the state of Texas is difficult in that weed is still taboo here; it is generally a conservative state; and cannabis legislation is only beginning to slowly, but surely, catch up to other states in the union. Texas recently passed bills for industrial hemp cultivation, broader access to medical cannabis, and reduced penalties for cannabis possession. I have hope that our laws will continue to evolve so more individuals can benefit from this plant by being active participants in healing their bodies and minds with natural, plant-based ingredients. I learned self-care from cannabis and hemp and took myself off of all prescription medications; I love sharing my family’s stories with the most conservative of audiences and watching their eyebrows raise in piqued interest when I start breaking down the scientific research and the troubled (albeit controversial) history of cannabis and hemp. - Voyage Dallas
